There's nothing like the dark lake

swallowing you into its warmth

calm

the water washes of your mind

and then

the rain comes and it is diamonds under the moon

I can feel the lighting on the sky

Like it's coming from my chest

the boat tips over underneath my belly

and the dock is always further than my will

we run to the fire

and our skin turns to bright wet gold
